Teacher / Associate Pastor
Jessica LaFavor is the Associate Pastor at the Church of the Nazarene in Kasson, where she holds a district license. Jessica has been a part of the development team for the Train a Child Center (TACC) from its beginning. She is facilitating a Wednesday night Teen Time, focusing on building character and relationship in the youth.
Jessica is a dedicated mother of three and has served in church ministry for over 15 years. Her passion is to see the truth of God’s Word heal, equip and train others for leadership in the body of Christ, as well as their community. Her favorite Bible verse is Psalm 119:2 “Blessed are they that keep the testimonies of the Lord with their whole heart.” Jessica was born with a hole in her heart and has a miraculous testimony of how God healed her!
She is the current Children’s Ministry Director at Oak Hills Wesleyan Church. She has been a keynote conference speaker, seminar facilitator, and is a prayer intercessor. Her heart is to make an impact for Christ on the next generation. She has also co-authored a children’s ministry curriculum called, “Making Disciples”. She regularly has parent seminars, doula workshops and mentor trainings at the Tacc.
She has been involved with several ministries, such as Women of Strength, Cleansing Stream Ministries, Food and clothing and Bible studies in the Olmsted county jail through Next Chapter Ministries. Jessica is trained in several types of inner healing prayer, she has served as a Training Coach for Celebrate Recovery and was the Coordinator for the Rochester Outreach Center for 3 years. Jessica is a current member of CBL- Christian Business Leaders and served on the Community Involvement Committee. For the last 2 years Jessica has attended Crossroads Bible College, studying for her degree in Theology.
Jessica is a certified Doula through DONA International and a Postpartum Doula through ProDoula. She has a philosophy of love at birth, love for life. She is the founder of Grateful Life Ministries www.gratefullifeministries.org and the Vice President of Embracing Miracles. Grateful Life has a vision of walking alongside those on the journey of new life, whether physical or spiritual. She is building a Christian doula team comprised of doulas called to childbirth and those who are called to discipleship (ministry doulas).
